In 2014 Michael identified a shortage of labour suppliers covering the North East and decided to set up M.A Stanton & Sons to fill that gap in the market. Since then he has built the business and customer base and M.A Stanton & Sons is now firmly established as a leading supplier working on road surfacing contracts throughout the UK.

Hugely experienced in road surfacing and highly respected in the industry, Michael is regularly called on for his advice and expertise in planning, programming and coordinating contracts which involve numerous task orders.

Michael has a keen eye for improving cost and performance and he works hard to ensure that projects are delivered with the best value and within agreed timeframes. A keen advocate of health and safety and environmental planning, he can be called on to offer solutions to any issue that may arise.

Andrew joined in 2019 to assist with the growth of the business and to help deliver our services so that we can continue to meet and exceed the demands of our customers. With his skill set and expertise M.A Stanton & Sons are able to deliver the full package from planning and programming through to principal contractor duties.

Highly qualified and with extensive experience in road surfacing and the planning and programming of site works, Andrew has the ability to manage both the project workforce and project resources, maintaining close control of commercial aspects, whilst delivering on the duties as Principal Contractor, set out in CDM2015.

His experience will be particularly useful during the pre-construction phase, providing advice and support during scheme design to assist the client in realising operational efficiencies. During the construction phase, Andrew’s talents lie in his ability to safely coordinate a work site in line with CDM2015, liaising with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the safety of all personnel.

Christopher's commitment to high quality service provision has enabled him to build long-term relationships with multiple local authorities including Newcastle City Council, Northumberland County Council, Leeds City Council, North Lincolnshire County Council, and Transport for London.

Christopher is mainly responsible for running our day to day operations where he oversees the smooth running of on-site work and ensures that levels of quality are maintained. He has extensive experience in road surfacing and excellent man management skills developed over many years in road surfacing.
